Isabel Bereczky lives and works in Boorloo, WA. Interested in forensic archives and remains, Bereczky engages with the aesthetics and methodologies of forensic investigation through sculpture, drawing, and photography. Her work traces the material and visual residue of cold cases as they move between institutional repositories and online communities.
Her recent project New Balance 3090 V2 presented one of two New Balance sneakers discovered in February 2016, near Port Renfrew, British Columbia. Disarticulated human feet remained inside the sneakers at the time of the discoveries.
